B2B sales of ugly food. Incredible for the farmers. Healthy for the buyers. Powerful for the brands. Massive TAM. Female led. Fantastic company.

One of my favorite companies to learn from. Happier, healthier patients. Team-owned outcomes. Flattened management model. Upper decile medical outcomes and earnings.

I have two babies and a guilty conscience that their first contribution to the earth is long-lasting poop trash in landfills. Dyper solves this problem in style.

Picks and shovels of the cannabis industry. Well managed. No ego. Differentiated approach, fantastic growth potential, and expanded business service options.

Originally built to train and retain millennials through high quality content. Now helping our in-home nurses on the front line of our aging population to up-skill and offer increasingly great care.

Cannabis is inconsistent. Driscoll’s does not make random guesses at their phenotypes of strawberries. Why is cannabis a crapshoot. The future of genetics comes from focused science, not trial and error.

Waste into value. Wish I could say I led this but I was a child when the strategy was employed. I learned a lot watching its assembly and am (in 2022) now in a hunt for similar roll-ups as Baby Boomers age out of their profit-making businesses.

Recycling company of the future. Brilliant, humble team. Profitable for years. Controlled growth. Eco-conscious, sustainability driven. But no bullshit. Egos checked at the door to do what’s hard, what’s right, what’s necessary.

Creating platelets for extended life of blood, think battlefield needs, from stem cells.

AI driven subscription service, now Alfred Intel, the back-end engine built to eliminate humans from the process, powers other subscription D2C companies. I invested to turn them into a clothing donating machine, which was very successful in getting clothes to young professionals exiting orphanages.

D2C shoe brand with a backbone. Crossing fingers for great success as they have created a new custom, low inventory model for today’s day in age. Very difficult business. But making a huge impact in their communities in Guatemala — and one (or two) hellova shoe! Shout these guys from the rooftops.

D2C baby clothing sales, circularity, and re-use program. Incredible alignment of all stakeholders. This is a model others should follow. Brilliant founder who saw thousands of opportunities during banking career and chose this one. Says a lot.

Seemed to make so much sense. Robots trimming cannabis. It’s a huge pain point. Someone will solve it well. 80% greater flower retention and so many fewer humans. But management and execution are everything…

Mmm. 2014/15 feels like a long time ago. They did “Stories” in a SnapChat format before it was a thing. Issue was, they didn’t have a lucrative enough membership or a real revenue model. Grew like crazy and couldn’t afford the growth. A few years later they may have hit the venture market in the sweet spot. Timing timing timing. I followed the guy who created Siri into this. Seemed like a good idea!
